TAKING COMMUNITY RESPONSIBILITY

Mspec.co.uk believes that any business – large or small – has contributions to make to the wider community.  In our case we apply communications expertise to benefit good causes.  Our “charity” focus at present is on  fundraising to support research and developments into the care and treatment of people suffering from brain-related illnesses such as Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease.
We are doing this because we have family and friends who are either sufferers or carers for those afflicted by these devastating conditions which so severely impair people’s capacity to think and communicate
with others.
We also recognise that Dementia itself has been labelled as Europe’s greatest medical and social problem with upwards of an estimated 16m people affected within EU countries alone as either sufferers (almost 5.7 million) or carers (over 10.0 million) and that these numbers are likely to increase dramatically with our ageing population.

To support our aim, we strive to keep up with developments of significance.  The UK’s Daily Mail, who’s been running a “Dignity for the Elderly” campaign for some years, has proven to be an excellent source of information.  For references to some of the articles highlighting both the enormity of the challenges presented by Alzheimer’s and other diseases of the brain as well as the discoveries which are giving people hope, CLICK HERE.
