The cat literally came out of the bag recently at the Camberley, Surrey branch of 
W H Smith, one of the UK’s leading booksellers, when the extraordinary author of the wackiest book to hit Britain was chauffeur driven into a busy town centre to greet 
jaw-dropping onlookers. Within minutes they were queuing up to buy his paw-stamped diary in what was assuredly the first-ever book signing by a cat. By early afternoon the fuzzy-faced puss had shifted 111 books, raising £222 for charity. For details,
